"There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you and into action and since there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. If you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost. It is not your business to determine how good it is, not how it compares with other expression. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly ... You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you." - Martha Graham

Books

Kathryn is the author of two books: Ghosts of San Francisco was published by Schiffer in Summer 2007 and Ghosts of Alcatraz is to be published in early 2008. Both books explore not only the history of hauntings in the area that Kathryn calls home but also bring to life the interesting characters that make up San Francisco's colored past.

Kathryn has just wrapped up her part of a  third book which is a guide to Alternative Home Building. She has sent the first portion of the book to the co-author who is completing the more technical part of the writing. If you are interested in supporting this work, you can vote for it at Bitchy Betty, a social networking community for people interested in supporting good causes. It's free to join the site and to vote.

Kathryn is also a contributing author to two other books, Hungry? San Francisco Bay Area: The Lowdown on Where the Real People Eat and Encyclopedia of the Middle Passage: Greenwood Milestones in African American History.
